At Canine Kinetics, I’m committed to supporting dogs through every stage of their mobility journey—from rehabilitation after injury to long-term support for chronic conditions. That’s why I’m proud to be a brand ambassador for WIMBA, a company that’s redefining the way we support canine movement through high-quality, custom-designed orthotic solutions.

What Is WIMBA?
WIMBA is a leading provider of custom-made orthotic and prosthetic devices for dogs, using 3D scanning and printing technology to create braces that are tailored to each dog’s anatomy. Their goal is simple but powerful: to give dogs the support they need to walk, run, and live their best lives with reduced pain and improved function.

WIMBA is known for combining veterinary expertise, innovative engineering, and advanced manufacturing to create supportive devices that truly make a difference.

Who Can Benefit from a WIMBA Brace?
WIMBA braces can help a wide range of dogs with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Some of the most common cases where I recommend WIMBA products include:
  • Cruciate ligament injuries (pre- or post-op)
  • Cervical spine Injuries needing protection/support
  • Carpal or hock hyperextension
  • Arthritis and degenerative joint disease
  • Radial nerve injury or paw dragging
  •  Hind limb weakness
  • Post-surgical support or limb immobilisation
  • Amputation cases requiring prosthetics
These braces allow us to offload affected joints, stabilise limbs, or improve gait mechanics while dogs recover or adjust to new limitations. They are an excellent option for clients seeking non-surgical solutions, dogs who are not surgical candidates, or as part of a rehabilitation plan alongside physiotherapy.

🔹 Paw Braces & Toe Uplift Systems – For dogs with nerve injuries or dragging paws.
🔹 Cervical Collar  – For dogs needing Protection in the neck region - particularly higher up at the top of the neck  (atlas (C1) and axis (C2))

All devices are created using a digital 3D scan, ensuring a perfect fit and allowing your dog to move comfortably while receiving targeted support.

Why I Work With WIMBA
I’ve partnered with WIMBA because their philosophy aligns closely with my own--prioritising comfort, mobility, and long-term health outcomes for the animals we care for.
As a physiotherapist, I often see dogs that could greatly benefit from added support, and WIMBA’s solutions allow me to tailor treatment plans even further. Their braces are lightweight, breathable, and easy to maintain, making them practical for both dogs and their owners.
Through this partnership, I can assist clients from the initial assessment and 3D scan to brace fitting, rehabilitation, and ongoing care.
